L'il Miss Bossy

Condensed  from "The Monitor" East St. Louis, MO  -  Nov. 16, 2000

Schinequa is an 8 year old, 3rd grade "A" student at Dunbar Elementary School in East St. Louis, Illinois.  She is the daughter of proud parents, Chico & Roschelle Washington-Brazier, and granddaughter of Veteran Drag Racers Willie (Bill) & Rosie Washington and Mrs. Ernestine Brazier.  She is also the big sister of Zaria Lamoine'.  Schinequa is the driver of the "LIL MISS BOSSY" Jr. Dragster and a member of United Black Drag Racers Association.  This is her first racing season and she has done a tremendous job.  This past weekend, of November 10-12, she traveled to Baton Rouge, Louisiana State Capitol Dragway where she is now known as the first African-American Jr. Drag Racer to ever race at their track.  Schinequa did her fastest 1/8 mile time yet of 14.15 Sec. @ 45 MPH.  Thanks to her uncle, Terrance T. Washington who is also a drag racer, it was a job well done.  Everyone is very proud of you sweetie.  KEEP ROLLIN!!!

Schinequa returned to State Capitol Dragway and I was rewarded with a big hug and kiss!   She returned to competition July 22, 2001 and was a treat for the kids  to watch.  Thanks for making the long trip from East St. Louis and honoring us with your presence at our event.
